K-8 Feeling Words Institute

The 2017 Feeling Words Institute is full. We are no longer accepting applications after June 30, 2017.  This two-day highly interactive workshop offers tools, information, and activities to prepare educators to introduce the Feeling Words Curriculum in their classrooms and schools. The Feeling Words Curriculum is a literacy-based curriculum that maps onto current Common Core instructional content. It focuses on developing students’ emotional skills through building a sophisticated feeling words vocabulary. Cost: $4,500 per school team for up to three participants, which includes: Two-day workshop at Yale Feeling Words Curriculum guides, including all grade levels (K-2, 3-5, and 6-8) Access to PDF version of guides for all school faculty and staff Access to RULER online community and all curricular resources Daily refreshments and lunch during in-person training Additional participants can attend at a cost of $1,000 each. We recommend that at least two educators from each school or district attend together to ensure effective implementation of the Feeling Words Curriculum. Accommodations are the responsibility of the attendee. Local hotel rooms will be available at a discounted rate.
