Training at Yale

The Advantages of Attending Anchors Training at Yale Include:

  • An opportunity to focus on RULER away from the distractions of home and work
  • A cost-effective option for smaller districts, or schools that are not part of a larger district or region receiving RULER training
  • An opportunity to network with leaders and educators from other schools with interests in social and emotional learning
  • A chance to explore Yale’s world-renowned campus and cultural offerings, as well as New Haven’s thriving arts and entertainment scene

Who Should Attend the Anchors Training at Yale?

Key representatives of your school or district, such as:

  • An administrator, such as a principal or vice principal
  • Teachers from different grade levels, such as one lower elementary and one upper elementary teacher
  • A mental health professional, such as a social worker

The individuals who attend the training at Yale will become your school’s RULER Implementation Team and will lead RULER rollout in your school or district.

Please visit our RULER Events page to find out about trainings at Yale.

Regional trainings also are offered if 25 or more schools within a district or region show interest in adopting RULER. You may contact us if you would like to discuss the possibility of bringing a RULER training to your district or region.

Event Cancellation Policy

Unless specifically stated on individual event materials, the deadline to receive a refund for an individual registration is thirty (30) days before the event.

You may substitute another person in place of cancelling. Please email rulertraining@yale.edu as soon as possible with any substitution questions or requests.

Cancellations will be accepted in writing (email) only and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund. Refunds will be issued by check.

The Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence reserves the right to cancel an event as a result of low enrollment, dangerous weather, or other circumstances that would make the event non-viable. If the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence cancels an event, registrants will be offered either a full refund or the opportunity to register for another training event.

Testimonial

“It was clear that the thinkers and planners behind this event truly understand the crazy and stressful life of a school administrator, and the number of extra caring touches that were added, e.g., the wonderful meals, helped us feel very valued and nurtured. ”
