Susan Riello, M.S., is the Instructional Designer for the Yale Center of Emotional Intelligence. In this role, she works within the Technology team to design the courses, resources, and learning experiences for the RULER Online platform. Susan is passionate about balancing design and delivery in education, ensuring that technology is used as a pathway to learning rather than an obstacle. Prior to joining Yale, she worked as an instructional designer and content developer for higher education graduate programs. She is a certified Peer Reviewer for Quality Matters, a research-based, peer-review organization dedicated to continuous improvement of online and hybrid courses. Susan also holds certificates in Instructional Design, Accessibility, and Usability from the Online Learning Consortium. She graduated with a B.A. in Communications and an M.S. in Interactive Media from Quinnipiac University. Susan is also currently an adjunct faculty member within Quinnipiac’s School of Communications, where she teaches undergraduate courses in “Media, History, and Memory” in both on-ground and online formats.
