Ruth Castillo Gualda, Ph.D.
Ruth Castillo Gualda, Ph.D. is a Psychologist with a specialization in SEL. Ruth has collaborated with the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence since 2010, when she worked as a post-graduate research fellow. Her Ph.D. dissertation focused on the effectiveness of SEL intervention in academic contexts for both students and teachers, and was supervised by Prof. Pablo F. Berrocal (University of Málaga) and Prof. Marc A. Brackett (Yale University).
Dr. Castillo is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Biological and Health Psychology Department, Faculty of Psychology, Autonoma University of Madrid, where she teaches in the Degree of Psychology and Master programs. She is the co-author of several scholarly articles and communications that address the significance of Emotional Intelligence on psychological functioning and well-being, and has collaborated on research projects focused on the promotion of positive youth development.
Ruth is a certified RULER trainer in Spain, where she is implementing the program in both academic and professional contexts.
